iPhone 14 launched: Price unchanged, Plus version added
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max changed the design from a notch screen to a pill form, while the mini version was replaced by 14 Plus with a size of 6.7 inches.
Detail Summary
At the Far Out event, Apple introduced the iPhone 14 series, three Apple Watch models including the all-new Watch Ultra version as well as the 2nd generation AirPods Pro.
The iPhone 14 series "revives" the Plus version with a larger size
iPhone 14 Plus (right) is a completely new version with a 6.7-inch screen as big as the Pro Max, but the configuration and features are the same as the regular version.
The iPhone 14 usually doesn't have too many upgrades compared to the iPhone 13, but Apple noticed when it dropped the mini version and replaced it with the Plus version with a 6.7-inch screen. These two models have the same configuration with the Apple A15 chip, the same notch screen as the previous generation. The cameras of the two machines have been upgraded in terms of low-light shooting capabilities but still have a resolution of 12 megapixels, a 12-megapixel TrueDepth selfie camera with autofocus.
The price of iPhone 14 in the US is from 799 USD and iPhone 14 Plus is from 899 USD. Users can pre-order from September 9, receive the device from September 16 with the regular version and the Plus version later on October 7.
The iPhone 14 Pro duo has a new screen design

Unlike previous generations, the two Pro versions have more upgraded points in appearance and internal configuration compared to the regular version. In it, the "rabbit ears" screen is replaced by a pill-shaped defect and is called Dynamic Island by Apple. The way the company customizes this area creates a lot of excitement for viewers when turning hardware weaknesses into the highlight of the machine. Notifications, settings automatically pop out from the two sides of the gap such as battery life, headset connection, music playback.
In addition, iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max also have a more powerful processor chip, A16 Bionic, brighter screen, better battery and upgraded rear camera to 48 megapixels instead of 12 megapixels like the previous generation. Apple also brings the Always-On Display feature to these two products. When in the lock screen, the device still displays a dark image with information but reduces the frequency of scanning, the brightness is less battery consuming.
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are priced from $999 and $1,099 respectively. Users pre-order from September 9 and receive the device from September 16.
Apple "forced" users to switch to eSim
"Apple" said that iPhone 14 devices sold in the US will no longer have a physical sim tray. Instead, the machine will use eSim. The company explains the reason is because eSim is more secure, easy to switch between different carriers and tariff plans. However, this change is also controversial when eSim makes it more difficult to switch between phones.
In Vietnam, it is likely that the devices will still have a physical sim tray, and at the same time support more eSim.

All four iPhone 14 models can send messages and broadcast emergency signals even in areas without cellular coverage, thanks to a satellite connection. Apple says it takes less than 15 paper to send a message, as long as the user is still where "the sky can be seen". However, this service is currently only available in the US and Canada and is only free for the first 2 years when buying iPhone 14.
