Hi-tech Fashion: Revealing the most powerful phone of 2023
TSMC's representative has just revealed the most powerful chip next year, and it will be equipped on Apple's most advanced iPhone in 2023.
According to TSMC CEO, the company's next-generation 3nm mobile chip process will be moved to mass production, but its enhanced N3E version will only appear when the iPhone 15 Pro models are released in 2020. after.
Before the 3nm chip based on the N3E version appears, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip found in the Galaxy S23 phones launched this winter will not be able to exploit the power of the 3nm chip but will still be a 4nm chip. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that Qualcomm introduces in 2024 is said to use a 3nm chip. Basically, Apple is the biggest customer for TSMC's 3nm chip manufacturing process next year, and that will most likely be the Apple A7 chip.
Because Apple continues to fragment the chip with the iPhone 15 series, it is likely that the A17 Bionic will only be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models. According to TSMC's N3E production schedule, Apple will be the main customer next year, and the foundry is expected to fill significant 3nm chip orders for many customers in 2024.
However, since the iPhone 15 Pro will have a smaller screen with fewer pixels for the graphics subsystem to push through, its benchmarks could eclipse the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the same A17 chip, ultimately making it the the most powerful phone of 2023.
